Fraser River Series and Related Images
(2002 – in progress)

British Columbia's Fraser River is one of the largest Pacific drainages of North America. Beginning high on Mount Robson on the western border of Alberta, the Fraser flows north and then southwest across the entire province of BC to the Pacific Ocean.

Images included from this series were taken either on, or in the vicinity of, the North and South Arms of the Fraser River that flows through the Greater Vancouver Regional District. They form a small portion of the images Zeigler is working on related to the Fraser Basin.

These images speak to the changing topography and culture of this area, and to development along the Fraser through an economy that for generations has been fueled by the resource-based logging and fisheries industries, and by shipping.
